It's not a very well known event as i don't see it brought up, but apparently over 1,000 cars are expected  Here's the full details:

Think I'll stick with the Goat.
The Brooklands event would exclude me (post- '87), it starts too early, is a bit of a shlep, and goes on all day.
The forecast is a bit iffy, so I prefer to go with the more local, and shorter duration event.
I will probably aim to get there a bit earlier than usual, with the hope of getting some time in before a decline in the weather conditions.
Anyone else still up for it?

Hi Barry,

Not sure yet, the weather forecast is looking pretty awful so will have to see. If it is good enough will probably head to Brooklands, but I have a feeling will not be going anywhere in the Zed!

Monday looks pretty good weather wise however....

I went to Brooklands, which was mostly dry and a decent turnout. I think some stayed away however as it was grey and overcast.

Was parked up no the Banked track. Didn't see any other Camaro's, but did see some nice Galaxie Station wagons, and a few niec 50's Pick ups amongst all the rest.

Still nice to get out in the car :)

Dave, I was parked opposite the Pub from 11:40 till around 1:00, by which time it was raining and everyone had left.
How the hell did we miss each other? It's not like there were that many people there.
Pub didn't open till 12:00

On the way home, in the rain, got an unintentional, and very unexpected, tailslide.
Twas on a busy roundabout on the A10, just tickling the gas pedal, TC on, certainly got my attention!
A good reminder of what kind of car we all drive.

Happy New Year

Hey Barry , sorry I missed ya .
Got there early because of the weather but there were only a couple of mustangs , an orange MGB and an elderly 2 tone blue Bentley so I didn't hang around for long ...took a slow walk back to my car and headed for home .
Be careful in the wet ! Your experience reminds me of something that happened to me yeas ago when I had my '73 Camaro ,only a mild 307 but it went into a wild tail slide on a bit of dual way on a bend with an adverse camber... nearly hit the armco, lucky there were no other cars near or I probably would have totaled it . Even the torque from something relatively tame will lose traction if it's water diesel or ice about .
Happy New Year

As I was entering Hertford Heath, the blue Bentley was going in the opposite direction, guess they also decided not to hang around.
My mrs had been very poorly with sore throat/cough/flu since Boxing Day so we had just been vegging out at home, to be honest, I just wanted to get out for a couple of hours. Since it wasn't going to rain till around 1:00 I went for it. Stopped on the way to put some air in the tyres and tank up, otherwise might have got there before you left. Maybe see you next month.
