Anyone fancy a little Airfield driving fun on Friday 16th May ? I did one about 18 months ago, great fun, and only hampered when my timing cover gasket started leaking... It's at North Weald (just off M11/M25) area. It's very relaxed and good fun, with just some timing tests through a bend, and some advice on how to keep it held, and also what to do if it spins. Then you get to try 2 different handling autox type courses set up with cones in a big area, so you can't break anything. Great fun, only 25 cars attending and cheap at £49. http://www.carlimits.com/script/viewEve ... h=20140501 |

Car Limits Day was fun, gorgeous perfect weather.. Lots of skidding about, and spinning, sometimes intentionally... I'd highly recommend it to anyone, as you just get to throw the car around without worrying about hitting or breaking anything... Great mix of other cars, from memory - few Lotus Elise, couple of ratty old 3 series (one guy destroyed 8 tyres that day... on purpose), couple of MX5's, E55 Merc, Atom, Westfield, Skoda Octavia, a few Nissan Pulsars, Evo 4, MGF, Nissan GTR's, R32, Mini. Did a couple of vids... Not great, as it was just on the phone in the dash holder.. and due to missing screws/clips my dashboard rattles.. ALOT.. so it's the main sound on the vid..this is the better one, from the short circuit and gives an idea though... |
