Been to this a few times, but few years ago. . Was mainly middle aged Brummies wearing T shirts with pictures of wolves on. .

I've been the last two years and there's been a good selection of cars. Last year it was nice to see a 1st Gen Camaro win Best In show.

Not sure where some of the people come from but most were old age like me.

I remember the first American car event I went to back in the mid 90's, I'd only had my IROC about 3 months. I spotted a show in Ringwood in Hampshire, and as I'd planned a weekend away with my then girlfriend in Bournemouth it sounded perfect and was quite excited.
We drove down the evening before, booked into a local B&B, next morning took the car through a local car wash, got the polish out, T-Tops off, and drove to the event. :chevy:

It was about 100 cars, mostly 50's and 60's saloons, day vans and a few Trans Am's. The owners were sitting in camping chairs next to their own cars looking miserable as hell, with gas camping stoves, sandwiches etc.. and hardly anyone was walking around or talking to each other. Many were clothed in eagle logo'd shirts, cowboy hats, Elvis sideburns etc..

Scared the hell out of me as an introduction to American car ownership !!!!!! :o

Hi,

I'm hoping to Go to Billing this Sunday, with my car for the first time!. Have missed them the last few years due to MOT issues / weather etc.
I have been told that you can just pay £10 on the door and i will be able to park my car on the field behind the main show cars. Can anyone tell me if this is correct please. I'm not a member of any clubs.

many thanks from Luke

Stox

Indeed, this has worked year on year for me. Staying over Saturday night this time with a few mates, Ive never booked on the website as you have to say you are there for 3 days.

The Billing show in April had a good turnout, for the first time in my memory we had to park on puddleduck (to the left of the main field). No real "ticket/non ticket" fields or "main showground", you park up in order of arrival.

Good show.
