Have just got back and I've gotta say...WOW! This has got to be the highlight of the year for me. Santa Pod told me that there would only be 35 cars but it was easily more like 50 and thats not including the monster truck, drag bikes. The burn out pad was huge and the whole town stank of burning rubber. Sadly, I didn't have time to fit a line loc but next year...

We did five laps and I am proud to say I did them all. There's a lot of waiting whilst the burn outs go on and some cars didn't like it too much. You can pull over on nearly all parts of the route. Once you finish, you can park up in the town centre for a show and shine. You literally get smothered by people asking questions.

Bad bits? Nahhh My only downer was that since I sorted the water temp sensor, the car is really quiet and against the backdrop of the open headers, it was like I was in a Prius. I haven't got piccies but a friend of mine got a load and we did video it so when I work out how to get them on line, I'll post 'em.

One final thing. I was getting a lot of cheers because of the Bumblebee/ Transformers thing. I pulled up to do the last lap and there was a little girl with her dad at the side of the car park. He was wearing a Bumblebee shirt and she was wearing a full Bumblebee costume. She was absolutely in awe of the car. I had my kids' seats in the back and so I called them over whilst the traffic was still and asked them if they wanted to ride for the last lap. They hopped in and it was such a pleasure to see how much they enjoyed it. What was really nice was that when I pulled up, my wife had actually joined the girl's mum and so when they got out, my lads got in. The guy told me it had made her night. You don't get that with a Honda!
