Hi, anyone interested in showing off their car for charity?

I'm involved in a charity motoring organisation called Club Le Mons and we've been asked by Biggin Hill Festival of Flight to organise the first ever Roundel Run, to help commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, the focus of this year's event.

It's on the 13th of June, so if you're not going to Le Mans (and you really should be!), this might be a nice alternative.

The Roundel Run is part 'run' and part 'car show' - we actually start off at Brooklands, from under Concorde, and then make our way to Biggin Hill Airport, via various Battle of Britain/WW2 locations, such as the McIndoe Centre, to the Festival, where we'll drive by the crowd of 18,000 people (so you can't be shy), before parking up in the arena, where people can come and have a look at your car, take pictures, etc.

We have some interesting cars already registered, including a Nismo GT-R, the new Zenos E10 S, a 1931 MG, a Lotus Esprit and an AC Cobra.

It's open to any model and any year but we're trying to get a mix of cars that will look good together on the road, and parked up.

There is a cost for participating, but that does include your entrance to the event, and if you want, access to the VIP areas. All the money raised will go to the four charities we're supporting; the RAF Benevolent Fund, the Kent, Surrey, Sussex Air Ambulance, Make a Wish and Brooklands Museum. So it's a bit of fun, some interesting cars, some amazing planes and all for a good cause. The Red Arrows make an appearance, too.

If you are interested please have a look at the website, where you can register.

Thank you!

So in addition to paying for the wear and tear on their car, fuel, tax and mot etc. you're asking people to pay £75 to make a charity event that you have already got 18000 people paying to see even better? Good luck with that.

in a nutshell, yes. assuming of course, that you haven't already got tax and an MOT. but otherwise, correct. of course, the air show isnt a charity event, and the ticket price is included in the £75.. the rest of that goes to charity.

Hope you don't mind me asking.....
If anyone came along as a passenger, is that £75 per person. or per car?
How much are the punters paying for entry to the Biggin Hill air show?
Cheers

3 ACs - one Aceta and 2 Cobras
8 Ferraris
1 Mustang
1 Nismo GT-R
1 Jenson Interceptor
1 Lambo Gallardo Spyder
7 Lotuseseses
4 MGs
4 Morgans
3 Porsches
1 Tesla (P85D baby!)
2 TVRs
and a Zenos, or two..

And that's not all!
