Just booked this today. A friend gave me the heads up who's going in his TVR Tuscan and his girlfriend in her MX5.

Looks like a fun day. They basically set up a variety of short circuits at North Weald airfield, and help instruct you on getting round quicker and finding the limit of your car's adhesion without anything to hit.
Once they think you got the hang of it you're out on your own !! Sort of handling tuition and mini track day all at once.

Limited to 24 cars with only a few spots left, and at only £45 it's a bargain. Anyone fancy it ??

Had a fun day at North Weald airfield on tuesday...
Very wide mix of cars, lots of MX5's of different specs, Lotus Elises, Subarus, Cerbera, Renault Clio, Civic Type R, RX7, Porsche Carrera, 350Z, Cobra replica with a Rover 3.9 V8, Dax & MK Indy 7 type cars, and a couple of monster track cars, Fiesta with Zetec and an Escort with a Skyline engine, both RWD conversions !!

It was basically split into 2 halves, morning session was high speed curve test, where you had about 5 or 6 goes at taking a bend as fast as possible, starting about 50mph I got to about 71mph, and spun out once.. Most cars were between 60 and 75, so felt happy with that.
Afternoon session was 2 different tracks marked out with cones, with different radius curves, didn't do too bad and recorded quickish times on both considering the Camaro is too big for tight slaloms really.

I had an oil leak appear in the afternoon so called a day about an hour early. I'd highly recommend this day, as you go out one car at a time and get a chance to throw your car around to the limit without any fear damaging anything, and spinning as much as you like, which you can't do on a trackday.
