Car Details:1967 Camaro German Spec import.
This was an L30M20 car sent to Germany in August of 1967 for a Race team there. I am in the process of rebuilding it.
I have not been on in a while, so I wanted to post an update to my 1967 German Camaro Build.
I just finished with the power plant. It is a four Bolt OPRMS 350cu in (5.7l) Chevy. It is Wet Sump, but built with a pan that will allow use on the track.
This is the ID tag on the car. You can see the numbers at the beginning,

This is what I began with in the car. I actually put it together in my Dorm room in Wiesbaden Germany. With the lack of any machine access, I tok measurements and ordered everything through PAW auto parts.

That was 1985. Now I have access to everything I need. I bought a 1992 Chevy truck four bolt One Piece Rear Main Seal Block.

This was a very low mileage (30,000) which actually helps with heat to cure the block, but the bore was all standard.

We fire cleaned, and media blasted the block to remove any rust and dirt.

It was then line honed through the cam and crank bearings to be sure it was straight. The cylinders were bored, 4.030 through Torque plates, angain to make sure it would all be true with the heads installed.

The cam bearings I used are Durabond with Anti-Friction coating, and the Mains are Clevite again with the Anti-Friction coating. I used STP during assembly and with the antifriction coating the rotating assembly moves easily. I did my best to reduce any friction, as much as possible. I am also using a Fidanza Forged Aluminum Flywheel. At only 11 lbs, it should help with parasitic loss.

Even the crank is treated to make it shed oil,

The block is also completely built with ARP Bolts and studs.

The pistons are MAHLE Forged Flat Tops with Grafal anti friction coating.

The pan has trap doors on each side to isolate the il travel in turns,

The balancer is a 6in Fluid Damper. Again to reduce weight.
