Hey Mark thanks for the pics, it's good to see what goes into building a car, remember to keep us updated with loads of pics ;) ;) It's a bit of a nightmare getting all of the sound deadening off, if you're lucky it'll chip off if it's brittle. Alternatively use a hot air gun gently & get a paint scraper under it as you warm it. Are the floor pans ok?? What sound deadener are you gonna use? I've read good reports on "Brown Bread" & it stands up well in comparisons with Dynamat, but is quite a bit cheaper. What amount of bodywork is needed to bring it up to spec? Cheers..Nige

Going to use the products from Second Skin Audio. Not a bitumen mat in site - They have a very good paint on product which you can use on the underside too, cue linky: http://www.secondskinaudio.co.uk/ and for all you street/racers out there, it also means it's light :D

I'll also be using their mat as well.

Floor is good, which is a bonus. Considering it spent a year or two in a damp garage as well :O Otherwise the whole bodywork is not too bad. It has had a rearend shunt in it's time, as the bootlid does not shut flush on one side. Means the rear valance will need shifting about a bit. One of the framerails is also bent, luckily it's not gonna be used with the new suspension :)

"Haven't got a camera"!! come on Mark, you just wanted to tell us you got an iphone

That looks like a lot of work, I assume you're following the thread on Lat-g where old Rupp can't seem to get his to his liking. At least he's doing a lot of ground work trying to dial it in for you

All joking aside, that's coming along well mate, good to see you back at it again, any more pics??

cheers....Nige

I just don't get why Steve Rupp builds a car like Bad penny & then doesn't drive it at the Autocross's himself, instead he lets Mary Pozzi drive it....weird.

Nigel, I've wondered about that....Not to belittle 68 Pro Touring 's build but I also wonder how much more performance is gained with the non stock 3 link set up versus a the stock style Hotchkis TVS set up that Mary runs on her own 2nd Gen. I would love to do something like this but with no welding skills I'm limited to a bolt on set up....
More pics and explanations for (Me) the uneducated please!!!! Great build...
