Hey, Ive been keeping pretty quiet on this forum so i thought id share some details about upgrades ive done to my thirdgen. Not masses of them yet, but the ball is rolling. Soooo first up is some suspension upgrades at the rear, new control arms, springs and shocks Edelbrock control arms with greasable polybushings Ebiach drag springs from a 4th gen Tokico adjustable shocks Heres a few pics of the install The spings have an airbag which u fit on the passenger side, this neat idea stiffens the spring and stops the axle from twisting under torque. Big improvements all round and i knocked a few tens of the 1/4 mile due to better traction Attachment: Attachment:

Well it shows lots of people are interested, but maybe haven't anything constructive to add.... Don't worry, happens to everyone.. Personally, I'd keep on putting stuff up if I thought people were vaguely interested. |

Whoooa!! sarcasm won't be getting you anywhere here. The forum may be a bit slow compared to others, but you gotta remember that you're a relative newcomer here & people don't "know" you yet. You'll find that not many people post replies in the projects section for whatever reason. Maybe if you get involved with the general discussion area & 3rd gen area, post up some stuff in there & let people see what you're about & maybe then you'll find people will be a bit more inclined to reply & be more receptive to you.By your own admission you say that you've been "keeping pretty quiet" on this forum, maybe a large number of the 150 views are from people just like yourself that look but don't post, it does happen a lot & we do have a lot of "lurkers" who, for whatever reason don't feel obliged to post things up. Don't take it to heart Thanks for taking the time to post up stuff, it's appreciated & feel free to continue, but please don't come on here looking to start a bunfight as we're a very close knit community & won't stand for it Cheers.....Nige (moderator) |

Im the one guy that replied to that thread. Dont worry took ages before people started posting on my project thread. Like Nige said general seems to have the most activity for some reason.

Well theres going to be a new carbon fibre panhard bar added to the rear and a sway bar off a nascar hopefully can be adapted to fit. Oh and i have a dana 60 thats is sort of very slowly in the process of being built to fit in.... Otherwise that will pretty much do for the rear cant think of much else apart from a mini tub to fit larger tyres under it perhaps Needless to say theres no wheelspin now once i tweaked the air pressure in the airbag and it feels pretty solid. So on to the front end, still have a list of bits to get but basically its going to be all upgraded. Brakes off a corvette, new adjustable shocks, springs, control arms, strut towers and a modified crossmember to fit the nascar headers i have kicking around. Hoping to get that all in place this summer while i have the chance. So here is a rare piece i found, its a sway bar from an imca racing camaro, moly bar centre and aluminum ends with spherical/ poly end links. I made up some poly bushings for the bar, originals were nylon and i felt too hard for the street. So far is definately the biggest handling improvement ive made to it. Also added a wonderbar, now with a solid bar in the middle Attachment:
