That looks really good, I'm looking forward to seeing this one in the flesh. It looks like we're both at the same sort of stage of build. I'm hoping to get an MOT on mine this week & then I can start flatting mine down, cutting it back & putting on all the new chrome bits too ;) .Do you have ordinary headlights or hideaways?? Keep the pics coming, cheers.....Nige

Car Details:'68 Camaro, 350-350 (originally a 327) B+M 144 blower.
Not had as much time to work on the camaro as I would have liked recently due to other commitments  ( young baby, work on house, looking for job etc)
but I have managed to get most of the window/weatherstrip trim and interior back together along with a lot of painting  (underneath the cowl panel, brackets etc)
hopefully there shpuld be a lot more progress in the next few weeks :D

Here's a few progress pics... cheers, Alan

Hi Alan, that's looking really nice now. I bet you can't wait to get it finished. I see you put on the Grant wheel afterwards, are you keeping the other one now or gonna sell it, as I might be interested ;) , cheers......Nige

Looking good and me too but 21 yrs since mine went! It's a long shot but would anyone recognise this car? No data on DVLA so I guess it got broken up.

More pics of an older restoration on here when this car was only 17 years old.

I have mates who've been into the drag racing scene for years, I'll ask around about your old car (dont hold your breath though)

hoping to get more progress pics up soon, haven't seen my car for about 3 weeks due to 1 thing or another (laid up with flu for the last week) :(
nice commando by the way keith  built a few nice tritons with my dad a while back, wish I'd kept a couple of them

Cheers but like you say i won't hold my breath. Found the name of the guy who bought it from me, name was Derek Higgins from Hemel. I remember he turned up in an old Marina and after the deal was done asked where the nearest scrapyard was. We drove to Blackbushe scrap metals, sold the Marina and got the petrol money to get the Camaro home! Told me he had a 57 he was building. I know he cracked both heads that winter 88/9 when he called to see if I knew of a used pair!
I think the Camaro was less trouble than the Commando (reliable now after 11 years) and a different kind of fun. Only ever did RYB's and wasn't quick with a 2.73 10 bolt. Mid 13's/105 at best. All the best with yours, really nice.

Was just trying to move/reorganise my uploaded photo's and this pathetic laptop crashed, now I cant find them, so frustrating

Well, here's some more recent ones of the bumpers, lights and grille fitted while I go and figure out how to get the others back on (I cant believe that just happened)

That's looking really good, can't wait to see it finished. Are you doing any shows etc next year, it'd be a laugh to park up two red/black Camaros together. We'll probably be doing the show at Billing again this year as my wife likes it there. What's left to do to it now?? cheers....Nige
