Hi guys thanks for the replys ,since the last pics a lot has changed the idea of just tidying up the paint work????? who was i kidding :o the doors rear tailgate ect all came off and all inside shut gaps backs of doors were cleaned up and painted 10 layers of paint were taken off the front bumper (dont people know if you stack that much paint on a rubber bumper its going to look like crazy paving hey ho ) all non oridginal paint was sanded off sealed then 2k primer loads of it and loads of block sanding now its starting to look reasonable last guide coat and sand ready for painting  i wish it was that easy :? so de grease tack of tip pait out ready for mixing then the compressor dosen,t stop .Checking it out it was blowing back out through the filter ,GIVEN UP THE WILL TO LIVE YET ?check out the non return valve not the problem ? next off with the cylinder head ,head gasket wasn,t to bad but was blowing a bit so i put sealor on and bolted up same problem once i got to 45psi it was blowing back head back of so split it from the top plate where the valves are and thats my problem blowing past a knackered gasket (the compressor has been no problem for the last seven year )but thats what you get when you treat it to new oil & air filter and doing a paint job for your self .So i cut a new gasket (jut temp untill i can get new one )a touch of sealor clean up valves and heypresto it worked  tested several times spot on .So that was the end of Tuesday .Check compressor today Wednesday tack of again start painting and almost done looking good and the compressor stops funny nois and will not start panick (aprox 2lt of paint mixed ) phoned my mate next door but one can i borrow your small compressor yes got the small compressor and put on the last of the paint .It isn,t brill but will flat and polish :o honest so that,t the state of play so far .Ill get some pics sorted shortly but been having problems with photo bucket ??? Im shaxxed out .Cheers Neil Who said this spraying game was easy ??? P.S Ben did you have any problems with the car running rich at all ?.
