This is a bit of an odd request & I must admit feel a bit out of place asking this. The thing is my sons pet dog died recently & he's having a terrible time coming to terms with the fact that his "best friend" isn't there anymore for him. When I got in yesterday he showed me a video compilation of pictures, that he'd spent hours doing, that he'd set to music & posted up on You Tube as a memory to him. He got really excited when people started to post nice comments (family & friends) He also wrote a lovely biog in the side bar, just to let his feelings out.

It's hard enough being a kid these days & he's a really great lad, but this has hit him hard. If you have a bit of spare time you could waste, would you mind just looking at the vid, or even just logging on to look at it, which will make the visit count go up, so that when he gets in from school today he can see that others have shown an interest in his dog. If you want to leave a comment that'd be even better.

I don't normally do this sort of thing, but I just want to surprise him & make him happy, to know that others out there can understand what he's going through.

Sorry for wasting your time.

cheers....Nige

Hey its not a waste of time, its a great thing that you'd post this to make your son feel better.

I dont know how old your son is but when our family dog died 3 years back when I was 20 ( we had the dog since I was 7 ish), i was pretty cut up so i'm assuming he is younger than me being at school, so I will defo take a look at the video and post something nice for his sake. He sounds like a great kid too taking the time to make a video because he cared so much, hope he starts feeling better soon :)

as a father of 3 (and one in the oven) I can understand. We lost our cat "Shelby" recently and she is sadly missed, they still talk about her.

Thanks for that, greatly appreciated. Jake's now 16 but Toby has been with him all his life & was definitely his dog, they went everywhere together. He just can't get over the fact that he's not with him anymore. I guess that if you look at the way he is with Toby in the pics you'll get a feeling for the closeness these two had for each other. Thanks again,.....Nige

On behalf of my son Jake I'd like to say a huuuuuge thankyou to everyone that looked at his tribute to his "best friend" Toby. He's left his own thankyou at the start of the video on You Tube. So far it's had 448 views & 42 wonderful comments. You shoulda seen the surprised look on his face when he looked at the video when he got in from school, to see that so many people had looked at the video & had left him such kind words of comfort. He just couldn't believe it. It seems to have helped him immensely & for that I'm really greatful to you all, many thanks......Nige

Toby looks a wonderful dog and Iam sure you are all missing him greatly, tell Jake to keep his chin up and remember the great times you all shared togeather. I had a border collie "Cindy" for 18 years and that tore me apart when she died, We have 2 beautiful cats now which are our babies and a major part of our lives. Cheers Jason. ;)
