Ok, I'm beginning to despair......

My lights!

The car is a 1997 Gen 4 Z28, the problem is side lights and MOT.

The side lights should be housed with the indicators (shouldn't they?) and the covers are orange not white, which should be an MOT failure. The car came with an MOT however. I found a friendly MOT center who might pass it for me anyway, but........ when I turn the sidelights on nothing happens.

I removed the access panel under the car,(although the Haines manual implies this model doesn't have one, must be the body kit), reached up to change the bulb, and although it was difficult to reach without the car elevated, I'm pretty sure that there isn't anywhere to put one!! It seems that the unit is an indicator and a reflector behind it. I couldn't find any spare wires either.

The car is a Japanese import.

I've posted about this before and I promise to shut up now.....but I'd just like to know what other peoples experiences are, and if anyone has any suggestions!

Mine has the sidelights wired into the front foglights (with low wattage bulbs) and they come on along with the orange side markers at the front. The front fog light switch is now used to turn on the rear foglights which have been integrated into the tail lights.
