Just finished watching American hotrod where they build a Chevy "bubbletop" in 8 weeks (allegedly). In the background are some of the other cars that they've built or are building, the "Hildebrant" '34, the woody, the '63 Vette to name a few. How come that they're in such a rush to get these cars done & then they sit around the workshops for God knows how long, what gives (gave?). The '63 Vette has been in the background of numerous builds & then all of a sudden it's a great rush to finish it. It then sat around in the background of other builds looking like a finished car.
The bubbletop car went to Gabes to be upholstered & it's snowing outside, yet a week later it's unvelied at the Goodguys Del Mar show & everyones inT shirts. Was all of this dealine stuff just a load of crap just for the cameras & everything just took longer than they showed or what.
What happened to the guys that were working there, anyone know what they ended up doing?? Also what happened to the wheelshop, why did Boyd sell it?? & why was it that his Ex missus & the office staff left when the wheelshop went?? Sorry for so many dumb questions but just a bit curious that's all. Cheers...Nige _________________ Too much power...not enough hands!!
