Just curious if any of you have any prefered parts suppliers? I have a 69 Camaro. All is in good shape so this is just for FYI purposes really? UK suppliers for general bits and bobs would be great? You know, brake pads, light bulbs, anything like that. For any bigger stuff, I am OK to do my homework and import where necessary. Thanks all. MOT due in a couple of weeks then fingers crossed, it's a summer of happy motoring. |

99.9% of what I buy for my yanks I order from rockauto. Com, use the fed ex express delivery and it costs a little more but you don't get raped for import duty, tax and handling fees, comes straight to your door and if I order on a Monday it is usually here by Wednesday or Thursday latest and still works out a lot cheaper than ordering from a UK supplier, for performance parts I use summit racing. Com or jegs. Com |

It's also worth trying amazon. Com (not. Co. UK), lots of the suppliers ship to the UK, gets here in a few days and also a shed load cheaper, found a few obscure transmission parts on there nobody else had |

I'm the same. I tended to find that the stuff the UK stocks are the cheapest and lowest quality options out there. Buying from the US you get more choice and it often works out about the same price or lower than buying locally. |

About 30% of that from rockauto and was here in a few days, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of UK suppliers also use rockauto then put their bit on top |
