So with winter sort of here, many if us with cars needing work or semi/nearly finished, what's everyone's plans for our yank beasts for next few months ?

I've been pretty lazy on car front this year, but i did buy a new house last December so been prioritising that, but at least I've finally got a garage !
I've only really been to a couple of events and a few short drives since i got it back from Flakmonkey pretty much a year ago, and only really completed a few small jobs, so need to pull my finger out.

Jobs to do are:
Fit subframe connectors, fit my G braces, make headling, make rear parcel shelf, tidy dash and door panels, fit stereo/speakers, tidy paint, sort dodgy boot and bonnet fit, fix exhaust rattle, skim rear spacers to solve tyre rub.

My plan is just to try and do something. Anything. Progress has been so slow this year, I'll just be glad to get something done.

Since my visit to Aldershot to pick up a few bits, I've got even more to do, sorting them out so they're useable or sellable.

Mine is to replace the gearbox, hopefully source a posi rear axle and change that. Fit and paint front and rear z28 spoilers, re-paint stripes, fit new door panels and seals, get dash pad and centre console recovered, fit new rear seat belts, repaint the rear quarter, fit new exhaust tips, give it a service and refurb a couple of other dash parts. Oh, and re-paint the inner wings and change the front sway bar. Also, possibly, change the valve seals, timing chain, steering box and water pump........Not too much :-)

Got most of the bits already (other than the gearbox, will be ordering that soon, and the axle, depends if I can find one....) Just need to find time to do the work.......

Since buying in October this year, here is my wish list of Winter/Spring/Summer jobs: get oil and filter changed after 500 mile run-in, backfiring sorted, replace wiper switch, replace upper door rubbers, new headlining, replace B&W shifter back to original and replace center console, white lettering on the tyres, get oil pressure gauge fitted, get oil light working, try and stop the front tyres hitting the arches, clean it and have fun...

@Jamieg285 - did you go to Namco in Aldershot? Wondering if they could do all the listed above? Are they good and not cost the Earth?

get it thorough the mot! overkeen new guy at the garage decided to push my fog lamp switch through the dash and fail it on that amongst a few other minor bits , and get the paintwork all sorted before the summer so I need to find a painter who isnt on drugs(the last guy wanted over 5k , needs the bumpers doing and the laquer has peeled on the bonnet and tailgate )

Blimey... they broke something and failed it on the thing they broke?!
What needs painting, just the bumpers, bonnet and tailgate? 5k is complete respray territory, i imagine half that would be normal, but still more than I'd want to pay. They will probably do panel blends meaning the quarters snd fenders will get blown in, so that'll up the price but ye, 5k too much. How about giving Rocky at American Technique a shout? He's around the corner from you, has a very nice booth and does great paintwork. I'm sure he won't charge over the moon prices.
