Well, i'm working my way through insurers and so far got my first quote through - A Plan (very helpful on the phone) quoted £265!! That's £80 more than Flux on the Trans Am which was a main car and daily driver for use to and from work and 6,000 mile limit. This one is 2,000 miles and social and domestic use. I mentioned the mods - fibreglass bumpers and stainless steel exhaust but can't see that making much so much of a difference. Thinking about it, mentioned the trans am had stainless exhaust too so not a lot of difference.

Waiting on RH to call back and working through the list of the others.

That's a much more reasonable price! Brentacre is on my call list for tomorrow.

Do check your proposal paperwork thoroughly with brentacre, maybe I got the new office boy but there was a long list of errors I had to have corrected

Submitted details to brentacre and waiting for a quote. That's promising at £210 as yours is definitely further from stock than mine and a damn sight faster too :)

What kind of things are worth looking out for on the paperwork? Is it the details about the car / circumstance that were not right?

Still waiting on RH to come back, i wonder if they lose customers as they do take a long time to reply. I remember getting a quote when i first got the car and it took a week :/

Good news, Brentacre came in with a good quote, less than half the price of A Plan so a little under £120, with fibreglass bumpers etc. declared and 1,500 miles on the policy, result! They also do 90 days European cover which is great, so any short trips abroad are covered, just need to update the mileage if that is the case. It's about what i was about expecting to pay, so that's great, next is road tax which will start in April

Thanks for the votes of confidence on them :)
