Does anybody know how a car moving to tax free is handled? Assuming he rules don't change, cars over 40 years old are tax free. Do you pay tax up till the date they are registered, or till he following year or some other procedure? |

Good question, i would have thought it's until the anniversary of the month and year of registration i.e. a '77 Camaro registered on Feb 1st would be tax free when applying for tax on Feb 1st. Haven't looked much into it bit that's my best guess for now. |

I believe the vehicle has to be 40 years old on the first of Jan, so my 77 will be tax free from 2018 |

For anyone interested it rolls over on 1st April each year, so depending o when my car is down as registered it will mean either April 2019 or April 2020 before it is tax free! |
