As the title says really, do you like or loathe car shows. What do you feel are the good & bad points of shows?? Do you build your car to make others like it or do you build for yourself, regardless of what others may think?
Personally, my '69 is being built for ME!!! It's how I want it to be, although it may not be to others tastes, it's exactly how I want it to look, perform & handle. It's certainly not being built to be too precious about & it won't be built to " hold down grass" at shows.
It's being built to drive & abuse.
Shows are ok, but I do get very tired of the outrageous performance/handling claims made by a lot of show participants. They say that their cars have this & that Hi Perf parts fitted, but if they ever do venture onto a drag strip or race track their cars are invariably slower than a slow thing on a slow day.
Pro Street being a prime example of all show & mostly no go. What do you reckon?? Cheers............Nige
