Hi everyone, thought I'd do an evening greet, I'm sat at my dining table wondering why I ever agreed to do some further learning part-time through work. I guess they're paying for it but I resent spending a fine Camaro evening on my dissertation... again

I did sneak 5 minutes in the garage when I got home, I spent Monday working in the garage using up some flexi-leave (time in lieu). I thought I'd post my mini project for everyone to enjoy!

I've installed three additional gauges to compliment the idiot lights in my 70. I wanted a nice clean solution for the mounting so decided to make my own, the plan to install the gauges in the console hole shown here...

I cut a piece of card as a template and cut the sheet metal, I got a friend to bend it up for me to the right angle...

Next I measured carefully and marked up the steel...

Next I fitted up the gauges, I had to trim 20mm top and bottom for clearance but no big deal...

Ta-dah...

I wanted something which complimented the simplicity of the original speedo and fuel gauge, these Autometer gauges were just the job. Nice and subtle...

Now I just need to get the rest of the car done!

Anyway I should probably get back to the books, enjoy!

looks good dude(but a hole cutter on a drill would have saved you a good bit of work)

Agreed, if I had one, I'd have used it! To be fair it didn't take that long. Something else to cross off the list at least!
