I was quite happy with my Summit polished tall valve covers until I found these. $58.95 a pair with oil baffles and fastners. http://www.ebay.com/itm/370833105925?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT They´ll be with me end of March. |

Yeh, but now I´ve been reading skipwhite is an iffy dealer especially on shipping, takes his time and you´re lucky if you get all you wanted. He´s got loads of other kit I´d like, so this´ll be a test run for me. |

Very nice but also very cheap! Probably drop shipped from china for that kind of money which would explain shipping issues maybe? |

Apparently the issues are on crate motors and rotating assemblies, not so much the "small" stuff. |

I have odered a lot of parts for my 4th gen from the USA and they have all been made in China! Even my powerstop brake discs were in a box from china |

Loadsa stuff allegedly US made comes from China.. I deal with alot of music equipment from a big US manufacturer called 'Peavey', who started outsourcing some of their cheaper models to China in early 2000's, and whilst the US made stuff proudly displayed 'designed and made in the USA', the chinese gear still said 'designed in the USA'.... but somehow didn't mention China |

Don't you just hate the sly, deceptive way they give these products shamelessly American sounding names like "Patriot" and "Eagle"...they must think we are all stupid I see it as trading with the enemy, building their economy and exporting industry and wealth creation . We all try to save money but sometimes the cost of the " saving'' is greater than we imagine ... |

Yep, i see it the same way. A level of import & export is good for all countries but when EVERYTHING comes from China it's a bit much. We are slowly exporting everything overseas - raw materials, manufacturing, even jobs. Then, we're wondering why our economy can't recover... if we don't have jobs how are we supposed to spend money to keep the economy going. When we do spend money, it goes straight over seas (the government collecting it's 20% on the way), so it doesn't get recycled into our own economy. And ye, saw that about Pirelli too, looking forward to seeing those soon to be cheap plastic tyres underperform Let's see how long F1 stays with Pirelli! I find this funny / ironic. I work for a U.S company and there was some literature the other day about how we (a U.S company) can't trade with communist countries i.e North Korea, Cuba etc. But China.. oh that's ok, we can buy materials from there, we can trade over there. But err, communism bad (unless there's profit involved). |
