I'm taking the ferry over to Liverpool and then heading for Leeds to meet up with some fellow Knight Rider builders for the weekend as we attaempt to wire up my dash electronics.

Hopefully I shall return in the wee hours of Monday morning with a very bright interior! ;)

Wow!!! that looks like an auto electricians nightmare  How on earth do they know where it all goes?? How do you get passengers in there with the dash wrapping around like that, or don't you take anyone out in it?  Oh, & what does that red light mean? is it hard to drive witht he cut down steering wheel??
 cheers......Nige

there are wiring instructions by the vendor of the electrics package, but I'm glad they did it and not me, Glyn who fitted it for me has done a few before, so he thinks its easy!

A lot of the dash is functional, speedo, fuel guage, rev counter, temp, oil etc.

Most of the stuff towards teh right is just dummy stuff, the lights flash up and down random but looks dam cool!

I have a switch so I can shut it all on or off independantly from the ignition, so I can have it running at a car show, or shut it off when driving at night as it is quite bright! It is totally amazing. The car stereo and the DVD screens/player are hooked up to teh voice box so when they make sounds the voice box flashes in sync, and flashes bigger/brighter dependant on volume, its all very cool!

next I have the overhead console buttons being done by Glyn too, and then the switchpod that sits between the gullwing and the dash (more buttons!).

The gullwing wheel is actually really nice to drive with.

The DVD screens are run from an in-car portable system that sits under the seat and I have some special DVD's made up from a guy in the US who has made them with actual animation that would have run on KITTs screens in the TV show, awsome!
