Has anyone used this tuner before, or knows someone that has? If so what did you or they think of them?

Thanks :)

Can't say I was too chuffed at the hourly rate either. However it shouldn't take any more than a couple of hours maximum?...and if they really do know what they're doing it might be worth it. I can't seem to find anyone else in the Essex or nearby area.

Trouble is they may know about carbs but it's the rest of it gearing ratios etc. if they are good at carbs they can sort that out but it depends if that's all you are after?

I won't remove the 3.90 gears, I'd rather have an overdrive fitted. Although these low gears aren't gonna help the mpg by any means I don't think the fault completely lies with them.

The problem lies with the combo rather than one item I would suspect , mine has a 350ci and six speed manual , around 330 hp ish and returns 18mpg , that's mostly driven like I just stole it or sitting In traffic and would prob be around 25mpg on a run, I have just emailed your car spec to a friend of mine who is a geeky number cruncher with all things automotive to see what he says, personally it would start with a vac sec Holley instead of the double pumper and seeking out a 700r4 box but it depends what your end goal is, cruiser, drag strip warrior, street racer, show car etc? Have you checked the obvious like binding brakes ?

I wouldn't mind using it for the rywb in times to come perhaps. It'll never be a show car in my ownership and neither would I restore the car to original spec. It's a street car to be fair, and I'm pretty keen on the performance. That's not something I plan on changing, if anything an increase in power in the years to come.

The brakes, front and rear don't feel to be binding, it's not out of the question but from driving the car I don't get the sensation that there's a problem there.

I believe the 750 DP is on there due to combination of parts tried by Summit to achieve a good power figure http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/engine/hrd ... -bolt-ons/

I think changing the transmission might cost a fair bit. I'm not really too keen to get into four figures and the fitting will cost too.

Thanks for forwarding the spec of the car :) any replies on that yet?

I had a quick chat with Andy and he said when he had his 400 smallblock which I'm sure he was running 10's with he used to drive it to and from work every day and return 17mpg, he suggested carbs and changing it to a vac sec or at least jetting it differently, the transmission will give you better gearing and economy on a run but isn't going to change the 5mpg
