Who's heard of this company?

A company is making these 'new' muscle cars, selling them for $250,000. Overpriced? It looks like a '68 Mustang fastback, with a modern Dodge Challenger front and rear bumper. It has a modern interior and drivetrain, all custom in effect. I thought they were restored mustangs with modifications (kind of like the Eleanor Mustangs you can buy for approx $125,000 and are the official licensed ones), turns out these cars are all new materials, milled from aluminium, steel roll cage and all sorts. Lots of marketing faff on the page and not enough detail, the most useful info is on the tabs at the bottom of the page.

What do you think? Is it worth $250,000? Would you be better off doing a resto-mod job on a mustang? Sure would cost a lot less :) Maybe better doing one of those jobs where you take a new Mustang and put an old body shell on it, to get the classic looks with modern reliability / comforts?

Modern rehash. No use to anyone IMHO. Much better off rebuilding a tatty 1st Gen Camaro or early Mustang as you suggest (but I hate the thicko resto-mod term) so it works properly and goes well. In essence, a race car for the road. Just my 2p.
Cheers, Martin

$250 K :P
For that I would go for a couple of real classics from the original muscle era, nicely restored and have a nice chunk of change left over 8-)

 same!

I'd much prefer to pick up some decently to well restored classics, enough to have a small collection of favourite muscle cars for that much money .
