Had another diff die a few weeks ago (although not through any abuse this time ) and Ive been doing more research into the 10bolt axle, from what i can tell a TrueTrac should do me for the power i need (3-400bhp) with out much worry so long as i don't put slicks on and get a 0-60ft lower than 1.6.

Just wondering where i can pick one up, for a good price in the UK? Also if anyone has any experience with them?
Would be a 10 bolt 7.5" 26splines TrueTrac Differential I'm going for(running 3.32 gears as my 3.73 died), with Alloy griddle and welded tubes.

I don't yet have the griddle either or a rebuild kit so they will both be on order too...

If anyone has any other recommendations then please say, it needs to be able to withstand a lot of abuse, on a track or 1/4 miles. along with burn outs, and road abuse lol.

If you don't mind me asking, but how much did that set you back? Have actually been told about them by a couple of people so quite tempted.

Won't be needing the set up fees though.

Hauser quoted me £900+Vat for a new TruTrac diff, ring and pinion, rebuild kit and the labour to set it all up.

That was going for a series 3 carrier with 3:42 gears. I think it also included the stronger back cover too.

In the end I picked up a used 4th gen series 3 carrier with 3:23 gears, a rebuild kit from summit and a strengthened rear cover for just under £300 all in. Now just need to learn how to set it up!

Due to various cockups and not paying attention.....I finished (?) up my axle for the fourth time today.

What went wrong then malc

Some days it just isn't worth chewing through the restraints !!!!

I overdid the pinion bearing preload the first time.
Second and third trying to put it right.
Fourth, new bearings.

Axle goes back under the car today.

Cross fingers.......

That's actually quite a good price if it just turns up ready to fit! Ordered my diff through them with a fitting kit. Should i both with a solid crush washer or just stick with standard crush washer?
