It was Petrolhead Nirvana night at The Ace last night, that I usually attend.
Yep, it was Wheeler Dealers, and the filmed passing of the keys to the new owner of a 68' Camaro they've sold.

Had a nosey round the car, which is very clean, and mostly original but nicely restored, and had a chat with the new owner (who may show up here, as he wants advice on how to lower it a little).
Also present was a nice '67 Mustang Fastback that the Wheeler Dealer guys had done.

I also ended up on film, as they spotted my car and decided it along with my friend Mark's Dodge Viper Replica racer would be interesting too, so we had our 3 minutes of fame. Whether it makes it to the final edit will be interesting.

Ah ok, that's pretty cool! I didn't realise they were still filming for that show. I remember they did a few episodes dedicated to yanks, maybe the bug has caught them :) Will keep an eye out for when it's released and hopefully your 3 minutes of fame

It was me who bought the Camaro. They are waiting for one last part to come from the States before it is delivered to me.

Brilliant video - but I really must go on a diet :o !!! I'm not sure how I will survive without beer and curry....

The episode goes out on Discovery at 9pm on 21st April.

Yup, still planning to lower the car and change the wheels for alloy 15's. Any advice on how low I should go and who I can call to get the parts would be very much appreciated.

Cheers,

Ash

The old '10 lbs fatter on TV' myth really is true isn't it ...

Regarding lowering the car, there's a suppliers forum on here too, with offers from suppliers or recommended places members have bought bits.
http://www.classiccamaroclubuk.com/phpB ... m.php?f=18

Many people import the bits direct from Rock Auto, Jegs, Summit, NPD or an umber of others... Otherwise good ol' Google to find a good UK place near you.

Lol - I think it was the 10lbs fatter before that!

Many thanks for the info - very much appreciated. I'll post some pics when the car finally arrives. I'm also interested in the Brand Hatch thing in June - will keep an eye on it.

(By the way - I don't know everything about Camaro's - Mike seems to have elaborated a bit there for the cameras...)

Cheers,

Ash
