http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfre ... ?CMP=fb_gu 1984 in 2014? Some quotes: "a convenient way to block a lot of content the British government doesn't want its citizens to see, with no public consultation whatsoever" "With minimal argument, a Conservative-led government has given private firms permission to decide what websites we may and may not access. This sets a precedent for state censorship on an enormous scale – all outsourced to the private sector, of course, so that the coalition does not have to hold up its hands to direct responsibility for shutting down freedom of speech." A reply from a reader: "They are also illegal in that they give parents the option to block LGBT content that is non-pornographic, as this is in breach of the Equality Act 2010. This is particularly harmful to young LGBT people in general and young trans people in particular who need information from the internet on subjects relating to sexuality and gender identity. So sites like Mermaids are blocked, for example." |

Darnit, just for having those words on here, our website is now on the ban list forever, no consultation / dispute etc. One day it will just be government.org as the only website running, with fake comments saying how great things are going in the world |

When I first heard about Wikileaks I thought I was on the side of the Governments of UK and America but after the revelations by Snowdon on the activities of the US and British authorities and spying and data collection against ordinary citizens I have changed my opinion. Stalin, Hitler and other tyrants would be jealous of what our 'democratic' rulers have the power to see and do. Censorship is also part of this. This is just the thin end of the wedge. The sad thing is the majority of the population do not know or care what happens and live in a bubble of ignorance provided by the maistream media. |

I concur. One of (sadly) the most accurate things I`ve read online for quite some time. |

I concur. One of (sadly) the most accurate things I`ve read online for quite some time. The bubble of ignorance is mostly the public's interest in X Factor and celebrity Jungle $hite more than any actual important issues, and how they may impact their lives.. As long you can still get Dominos delivered, a 6 pack of Stella at Asda and sit and watch Ant and Dec on a Saturday night they don't care about much else... !!!! |

Don't know if you keep up with US politics (One of Americas longest running comedy shows), but many of us are hoping Senator Rand Paul will run for president. Then you can expect the s**t to hit the fan big time. http://www.wnd.com/2014/01/rand-paul-jo ... ainst-nsa/ |

Rand Paul seems to be oe of the few good guys in US politics at the moment, but then his father Dr Ron Paul tried in vain to swim against the tide of stupidity and corruption from both Republican and Democrat sides. For those that don't know Ron Paul tried to start a libertarian protest against needless warmongering, Big Government intruding into people's lives with regulation and red tape and he was for cutting down government debts and the burdens that follow... Sadly he was mocked for his efforts and the USA is sinking under a mountain of debt and the manufacturing is all going to China and as long as the Bankers are bailed out nothing else seems to matter-just like the UK Eerily similar both sides of the Atlantic... Better stop all this I can hear a drone circling above my house |

Yep it's very true. When the right hand is showing something, try and see what the left hand is trying to hide. The whole NSA thing took place quietly in the background thanks to the Boston incident. Still waiting to see the evidence of the convicted on that one (placing the items etc), the visual effects department must be busy still Hopefully there will be people such as Rand Paul out there who are able to make some difference, or at least bring light to things. Traditionally, there are accidents / incidents that take place to conveniently remove those people that threaten the current beneficiaries, so let's hope the same doesn't happen with Rand Paul. I'm sure when he get's close to being a threat there will be convenient slur stories popping up to discredit him. I do wonder about the thought process with the U.S government about the whole China thing... they owe trillions to China, take further loans from China, then that money is distributed within the economy and then goods are purchased by the people... from China. So China is effectively running a global, interest making banking system with a great guarantee on it... by loaning out it's cash with interest, it then gets that cash mostly back by selling it's products to the U.S, still being owed the initial debt with interest. Sounds like a very favourable system for China! I wonder if the U.S is aware, and if so, perhaps they are benefiting from it somehow, so as to be colluding with China to keep the U.S borrowing more and more. Or, they are going to borrow as much as they can and then declare bankruptcy, effectively wiping trillions out of China's economy too. Should be something we find out within the next decade i think. Duck! - incoming drone Maybe they should disguise them better, so people accept drones hovering around. In fact, wouldn't it be great if people opted in to have a drone visit their house.... oh hi Amazon, didn't see you there |
