A while ago some stuff was posted on here re the 8 point rule regarding modifying cars. I found this thread earlier, it seems that a VW camper has been hauled before VOSA for chassis modifications after an MOT

Car Details:68 pontiac firebird coupe project car,my aim is a street friendly,lightly modified pro.touring style.
Lowered ,mild body mods,400 cu in SBC engine, Muncie 4speed, 10 bolt posi axle,disc front drum rear.
68 firebird convertible ( long term project) Stock resto/mod style ,400 pontiac th350
Kapri on R+S would be the man with the information.
He has a lot of knowledge on the legal and regulatory side of things, as well as being a respected builder of non-standard cars and rods. If anybody knows it would be him.
Possibly a subject where a little self censorship is advisable on an open forum...you never know who may be looking in.

Unintended comedy is one of it's uses :thumbup:
I only visit to check out the for sale / wanted, but it is a desert these days and as the saying goes - Life is too short ;)

It looks like he almost got banned from "Torqued Up" forum too. That's twice he's been banned from R & S

I've known Kev AKA Kapri for a good number of years now & we've had many a good chat about this sort of stuff. He is very clued up on all of the regulations in force & what's likely to come into force with the contacts he has at DVLA. If you really need to know something then he's the man to ask.

I don't know much about him other than I think he's in the scrap metal business. He certainly provokes anger in a lot of people though
