but I think a tax disc spoils the look of a yank so i dont mind...

My understanding is that it's only the physical tax disc that will be no longer used. You would pay online monthly (new) or for 6 / 12 months as usual. So i guess, kind of like insurance, no visible mark on the car. I guess more ANPR vans kicking about? I wonder how you would remember when it's expired though. I check my windscreen when i think sh*t when was the last time i renewed the tax disc, then i see it and think sweet, another x months left. Would they send emails / postal reminders? |

if you pay online they send you a reminder so I guess that will stay the same..... I always leave it a week or so before I put the new disc in the landrover and the old bag over the road grasses me up....then I get a letter through the post asking me to display the tax
