I arrived on the IOM in 2001 with not much to do

managed to sort out some legacy issues for a UK company I was chairman of (pensions and Actuaries) and then set up an International Pensions Business from scratch with a local IOM law firm in 2003.

Now renamed Equilibrium Pensions Limited following an MBO in 2010 - we are now one of the largest Intl Pensions Businesses in IOM (and offshore)
www.equilibriumpensions.com

We now have clients from Chile to China literally- with most African Countries in between.
Australia, Chile Tanzania, RSA, Mali, Zambia, Zimb, Ghana, Dubai, Spain, Europe China, France, Greece, Cyprus,

We are 1/3 QROPS for UK Expats , 1/3 South African ExPats and 1/3 local HNW persons on IOM.

We are still expanding and have taken on two new staff this 1/4.

Interesting stuf there Topcat, I don't know much about the pension industry, but I assumed it took a good hammering over the last few years with all the funds and related industries effected since 2008, but great to see your growing....
(looks up house prices in IOM, and writes CV to send to TopCat  )

I'm an international playboy, jetting from continent to continent, throwing gold ingots out of my Learjet windows to the peasants below, whilst smoking every cigar Cuba has ever produced...

Then I woke up and realised I'm just a lowly musician running a band playing at weddings, holiday parks, sorporate events, some decent clubs and similar, but I do get to go travelling a bit to festivals abroad and away in the winter working at ski resorts..

Everything from:

I also do a fair of music equipment maintenance for a studio I have a small investment in, so soldering dodgy cables, fixing broken switches, replacing speakers kind of stuff....
http://www.millhillmusiccomplex.co.uk

and, I also do a few PAT test jobs a month too..

(working on the playboy thing still tho' 8-) )

The drugs are in sealed evidence bags, so not much to see and the porn is either magazines or DVD's, but the guns, no problem. Any preference?
