Joking aside. I`m getting bored with cars. Seriously. I sold my little runaround and haven`t replaced it yet. I always look forward to car shopping but nothing interests me. To reinforce my worry I had a notion of a new 5th gen Camaro and toyed with selling my 4th gen a few weeks ago to add to the deposit but kinda lost interest. I honestly reckon if I sold my Z28 I wouldn`t replace it. I`d buy some practical boring hack just to cut about in. Nothing floats my boat. Is this a phase? |

I would keep it and enjoy it until Sept 2014- fuel in Scotland will be far more expensive after then if we do go for independence - at which point you may sell it in England (and pay the registration Fee) |

Hopefully just a phase... I think you need to maybe do more fun things involving the car, so you have stuff to look forward to, rather than just ownership. I'm so much happier now I have things I do with the car, whether track day, or big trip, or just a late night drive on some good roads. I couldn't just be a polisher.cruiser owner. I'm suprised after your french drive in the summer you feel a bit less interested, cos I'd have though that would be an encourager.. I used to really be into cars from my teens, and eventually got my Manta at 21, then Iroc Camaro, then Jag, then sort of got bored, bought a nearly new Honda Accord, took about 2 or 3 years before buying the current Camaro to really get back into cars again, then the VR4 lead to track days, and then Camaro track days etc.. |

Some fair points. Independence? Can`t see it. Most people where I live, including myself are pro UK. I am using the car now to commute on dry days and it does get attention and it IS good to drive but I`m still losing interest in cars full stop. I dunno. It`s too good a car to sit in a garage and too good a car to drive through the winter $hit and salt. I even thought the day about selling it and adding money and buying an Jeep SRT8 as a daily to get the best of both worlds. I`m still undecided. I polished it last week drove it through town and it looked and sounded amazing. I could always mothball it for winter. Maybe I`m getting old. Turning into an old fart lol |
