"Holy smokes this is going to be amazing! We told you yesterday that we’re going to be live broadcasting the 2013 NHRA California Hot Rod Reunion from Bakersfield, California this weekend starting on Friday morning. Outside of the fuel altereds, front motor nostalgia top fuel dragsters, amazing sportsman action, 40+ nostalgia nitro burning funny cars, and exhibition machines, there’s the famed Cacklefest. What was started as a one time deal has grown into an entity all of its own and is replicated at events all across the country. The California Hot Rod Reunion is where the Cacklefest was born years ago and that’s where the biggest and best one still takes place. We were emailed a list of all the cars that are currently entered to participate this weekend and we almost hit the floor when we saw that there are just about 80 of them on the list. 80, like more than six dozen cars mostly burning nitro will be running at the same time, in the same place, on the same night.
