I'm sure I read that the date for road tax exemption was being increased to include 73/74 cars. I now can't remember where I read it and can't find any information to suggest I'm not making it up! Has anyone else heard this? |

You are right, the exemption is being brought forward to include 1973 vehicles. As it is also 40 years ago, some have suggested (not yet confirmed) that this may possibly return to a rolling 40 -year exemption as it was originally. Believe it when I see it. HTH Cheers, Martin |

hi i registered my camaro about a month ago with dvla my camaro is registered 1st jan 1973,at that time i was under the impression that it would be road tax exempt they charged £225 or £220 for the year so i phoned dvla,but the lady who i spoke with and she got advice from another collegue that there is nothing about to take place about 40 year rolling exemption rule and they are not aware of anything about this happening |
