Stunned at finding this and i can't recommend enough that you check this out. Feels like i found the Holy Grail while doing research at 3am this morning :tired:

On the below page, you will find a PDF document specific to each year of Camaro, printed in the year of production, over 100 pages each! These are internal GM documents and contain every single detail on your car! The first few pages give you every bit of decoding info on your VIN, Engine VIN, Transmission etc. It then goes through every single option and colour available for your year, down to ridiculous level of detail of how much every single option weighs, and how much difference it makes to front and back weight!! It explains every single detail of what option meant what, pictures of things like the dash configuration, every single wheel option and trim available. This is truly amazing. All codes for parts and options are in here too, transmissions available, gear ratio's, stamping numbers, everything! It even goes so far into detail it tells you what each piston ring is there for, what material it's made from and it's spec's down to 4 decimal places. You could probably setup a machine shop to make GM spec repro parts with these documents!! This is definitely the best and most exciting thing i've come across for our cars :)

Click on the link, click on Camaro and it lists every year from '67 to 2002  Each file is between 10-20mb. I suggest downloading and keeping your year, incase anything happens to that website, never seen or heard of this before.

This page you will see also include most other GM vehicles! Impala, El Camino, Nova etc.

Cheers,
