Does anyone know where to get them in the UK? Looking for blocks that are +16" (24 / 32").

In the U.S they are easy to get - Durablock do them too, even up to 48" and are easily available on ebay.com.

The longest block i've found in the UK is 16" but our cars have pretty long panels so i'd like to be able to get them nice and flat and also speed up the sanding process. I've just got hold of a new door and fender so would like to do a good job :)

Cheers!

I know you can get the 6 Piece Durablock set from Frost Restoration, thats where I got mine.

Just been out and checked in the garage, longest board is 16", love my set it's had a lot of use over winter, pretty good deal for the 6 piece set too, might be worth a look?

Found the 16" plenty long enough to get my panels straight, and they are flexible enough to follow the contours.

Thanks Cowman, I've got the 6 piece durablock set from Frost

Works really good and massively sped up sanding time (am in the learning process and started out with a hand block, the type you get at b&q!). I was hoping to get a 24" or 30" block that durablock or afs do - with the doors being so long and warped from the years, i don't want to be following the grooves, instead would like to dictate what the shape should be. Have spent way too much time on the car so wana do it right this time :)

Doesn't seem to be a durablock or AFS distributor in the UK (frost only do the 6 piece set) and im surprised that no one sells longer blocks. Maybe because we're used to smaller cars here or something?

Cheers!

Make some....

Get some 1/4" ply and some hard rubber foam as a backer. Stick some handles to it and you are sorted. Cheap too. Hold the paper on with drawing pins either end.
