Everyone seems to have loads of snow, except us. We have hardly any at all.
Shame, I quite like snow and all the hilarious driving it brings!
I'll gladly bring some back from France for you, just had another couple of inches fall tonight.
How do people manage to get around out there in the snow, as you know, we grind to a halt here at the slightest bit of bad weather?
I meant to ask on the other thread, what music do you play?? Any youtube videos?
How weird, just mentioned snow tyres in today's thread. Having driven out to the alps a few times you soon realise everyone uses snow tyres between November and April, they're almost a legal requirement on most snow bound regions of Switzerland, Austria, Germany, not sure about France. They make a real difference and you really cannot cope without them. We also had to put the snow chains on once or twice in real steep icey situations. . They s ow plough the main roads but not the mountain access roads we use so some trips can be fun..
Driving technique makes a massive difference. I thought I was a confident driver until I saw some of the local flying about here..
The band I came out with originally was a thrown together unit (I'd only met the singer twice before) with some guys I've worked with previously. That band stayed til Jan 5th then we went to Nice for week residency in an English bar there. Another band back in Meribel were stuck for a bass player from the date I was due to go home, ended up back here til the end of January. ..
