Hi guys, just looking to see if anyone can help with cheap insurance quotes. i have no no claims but i have been driving since 2001 and not made any claims myself. the reason i have no no claims is that im disabled and drive a motability car which dont use any no claims, but could get confirmation from them that i havent made any claims...sorry for the long winded explanation lol...im also 28 and would love to drive my dream car, a 3rd gen. any help will be greatly appreciated |

Phone around the usual suspects. The only people that would insure me last year were Adrian Flux, all the others wanted at least 1yrs LHD experience. Should have a few more options this year. |

Hi camarokyle, Under normal circumstances i have always recommended RH insurance to anyone with a Modified, American, Classic, etc. I have found them to offer the most comprehensive insurance cover for the most reasonable price. I do mine as a UK Street Machine member for a couple of reasons, firstly Mark Ashman who founded UK Street Machines negotiated a very good deal with RH in respect of what would be included in the policy and what wouldn't, Mark is recognised by RH as an insurance valuation officer/expert which is handy for any agreed value policies which he does free of charge (for members). As a member you get a 15% discount on your policy which normaly covers the £10 fee it cost to join UKSM. In the event of a claim needing to be made Mark will always help out and he is going to have far more clout with RH than any individual will. As an example last year i paid £205 for both my 1960 Oldsmobile and my Model Y Hot Rod (that is total not each). Both cars are agreed value, 3000 miles per year each, spouse is covered fully comp on both aswell, cover to drive other vehicles 3rd party for the policy holder only, you retain all rights to salvage in the event of a total loss, full cover on the show field as well as organised cruises and rallye's, full european breakdown cover, windscreen cover, cover to and from work, etc etc. I do not know whether they will cover someone who is registered disabled or not but i don't see why they shouldn't, there are plenty of older people running classic cars and i wouldn't mind betting some of them are disabled. Cheers. Russ. |

Hi Kyle, Since i last posted i have spoken to Mark Ashman and he said we have already got a club member who is disabled and is insured with RH via our club so he doesn't forsee any problems. If you want me to put you in contact with Mark so you can get some quote's give us a shout back. Cheers. Russ. |
