Post subject:  Wheel ramps big enough for our wide tyres

Hi all,

Does anyon know where to big wheel ramps that are big enough for our tyres? The metal ones I have seen are too narrow.
I have seem some plastic ones to raise up caravans but they dont seem ideal.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Alex

Many moons ago my Dad made up a set of car ramps using the screw-together angle iron type stuff that's often used to make shelving units (Dexion?). I still have these ramps today and use them for mine, plenty strong enough and if you are making them up, you can make them as wide or long or high as you need. HTH

I made some up using builders planking and a carefully chamferred slope on the front of each 3 foot long plank

using 2 gives you 6 inches

Of course you can drill 3 together (don't use nails- drilling is better)

I thought about adding a stop to the end but decided not to
means that Butch when driven on to these is high enough for any jack
