As the title says, here's some pics from Castle Combe on Saturday. Great racing from the V8's but Bernie Chodosh's 'Vette, which was running in 3rd place & was up for sale @£120K, took a major knock causing a lot of damage.

Nice pics.

I always have a soft spot with the 1st gens. What kind of brakes do they use? Brembo/Wilwood?

Hi Nige,

Some lovely pics there mate, such a shame about the Corvette.

I have only ever seen one Capri Perana in the tin but it wasn't that one, it was a yellow one on an X plate imported from South Africa near cape town i think. I have got a couple of pics of it somewhere will post them up when i find them.

Cheers.

Russ.

No, something happened on the approach to Camp and the car went into the barrier hard. As you can see in the pics, the nearside front wheel and spindle are off the car, but I still don't know if this caused the crash or was a result of it. You missed some good racing with some great cars.
Cheers, Martin
