Hey Stu- I was there but without the IROC. I was with my good friend in his Red P6 Rover you may have seen about?

Show was weird on the Saturday, felt like there were a lot of pikeys around the site and Billing has just become a trailer park basically. The band were great Saturday night and the cars were brilliant on the Sunday.

Was going to go to Americana next year but it looks like that has changed too.

Some shows will have to be disbanded as there are just too many. I want the good old Billing days of the 90's back or maybe we will go to the Street Rod Nats again next year?

Hi ukzz4iroc
I did see the red p6 cruisin around
My fatherinlaw was with me/family on fri/sat which got him reminiscing about the good ol days

For me the show was one of the better events at billing last year every other person to me was a proper jipo/pikey but to me there didnt seem to be as many
I didnt get to go and see the band playing saturday as the kids had crashed by then but they sounded ok and had plenty of audience participation

I agree the car show sunday had some mighty fine motors parked in there

Americana 2013 I think will be a ghost town unless they do something radical to coax traders and the paying public to come back in 2013
I know they have no control over who books in but the pure amount of jipos that were there and the stuff they did and lack of traders is why im staying away in 2013 :(

As for the street rod nats do you have to be a member to attend ???
Just that i spoke to a guy at americana and again at billing who has joined i think the nsra???
He bigged it up saying good shows friendly atmosphere and no pikeys as you have to be a member

ukzz4iroc
Did you see my 4th gen it was the only blue one there  :D
Cheers Stu

Hey Stu,

So what did the gypos do at Americana? Pleased we didn't make it to be honest.

I did see your LS1- looked sweet man. It's a good blue that and tastefully modded.

Usually we turn up with 7-8 of us and some of them ain't into cars. This time it was me and my P6 mate and we had a ball. We could just stare at the nice cars, talking about the curves, the engines all the backdrop of great (humid) weather and rock and roll. Damo, my mate forgot all of his tent pegs so we just set up camp after the band! driving my BM and his P6 looking for a place to kip. We slept on his ground sheet so lucky it didn't rain. Only in the morning did we realise we had parked and slept within 3 feet of the only puddle on the showfield lol.

The Street Rod Nats. Never been a member and been a few times, but that may have changed. It's pricey and I think that may put the pikeys off. Why are they suddenly such a problem? It's like Men In Black- they appear to be visual to us when for years they were just about.

Try and avoid taking the kids but I think at some point they are gonna have to come along too.

Cheers,
Felix

Hi Felix
So what did the gypos do at Americana? Well the teenage pykies were all drunk by midday and harrasing normal young girls to the point were 2 young girls would not go anywhere with out mum or dad for the fear of being r*p*d this family were 2 pitches away from me/my family !!!
The 1st night couple of generaters stolen and some tents slashed etc so im told
Sat/Sun night they tried to steal a till from one of the onsite bars which ended up with a big fight an wrecked the place again so im told
They were just all over the place
70 z28 may be able to add more on this so yeah stars n stripes 2013 have 2 more visitors from this forum are you going to make it 3 ???

PMSL :lolno: about yer tent peg issues as i had loads of them and havent even got a tent

But billing was a great weekend we stayed friday till monday great cars music and best of all the weather
