Just renewed the insurance on the pink monster and managed (after a huge amount of shopping around) to get it for £387 with all modifications declared, agreed value, and biggest result.... with track day cover !!! 8-)

This is with Classicline who I have never dealt with before

I thought it would be useful just to list of all companies I got quotes from
This which should be made a sticky in theGeneral chat IMO, and others can add their experience or new brokers as time goes on..

Classicline

RH insurance
Footman James
Bishop Calway
Sureterm
Henderson Taylor
Sky Insurance
Stevenage Insurance

Mine is with Adrian Flux, because they were the only people, out of the usual suspects, who would insure me as I didn't have any LHD experience

Will be interesting to see what the renewal is like after the rebuild with all the mods declared!

I have been with Flux a few times over the years, and they are often the cheapest or easiest to get cover from.
I cancelled on my BMW with them this year because they auto-rewened the policy and drew the money for the much more expensive premium without even telling me...

I had quotes from Flux & they were high, I also know people that have had problems with them, so I'd avoid like the plague after hearing what happened. I'm now with Hagerty & pay £237.00 per year, fully comp with all mods disclosed & an agreed value of £30K hth

I had to claim through Flux for another vehicle (bike) and their claims handling was spot on  Always impressed with their knowledge, and always helpful

I would never, never, never use MCE again though, had another bike with them which I sold after having the policy for 6 months. It took over 3 months to get my refund on the policy  They were very unhelful and hadn't got a clue.

I used 2gether when I had my kit car, were cheap but never had to claim. I know lots of people have had problems with getting the paperwork right though.

Adrian Flux have just given me a very good price on my Harley insurance .
They just about halved what I was previously paying :o
In fact it was such a good price I thought they might have made a mistake ... paid up instantly
Just hope I never have to claim on it ....

Thanks for the tip on Hagerty Evilzee. Picking my '68 up next weekend. Got quoted £450-460 from both MCE and Flux, rang Hagerty and got £143 with agreed value, and UK and EU breakdown! They seem to be a fairly small outfit but as such the chap (Phil) was very personable and helpful. Obviously the proof is in the pudding if I ever need claim, but so far very impressed.
