I was looking forward to going to this, this year, but I've got to attend my birthday party on the Sunday, :lolno: , so I'm not gonna be able to make it I'm afraid. Best of luck Tim, let us know how you get on.

cheers...Nige

I may have mentioned that we have spent a large amount of time on the Ferry between IOM and UK and back
being this month 8, 19, 21, 27 and today

and I find myself yet again on same!

My poor ma lost her battle with cancer and have been frantic organising her funeral in Inverness last weekend- a very moving occasion- masses of people came and we had to organise a marquee at the church to fit everyone in. Of course being the Highlands of Scotland we then had a Wake!

nearly called off this Event at Prescott- but decided that we really needed a break from it all!
Of course this meant that preparation for the event entailed my disappearing at lunchtime to get Butch on trailer!
Well of course the race battery was dead, and I wanted to run the Yokos since they are 60 profile and Prescott has an enormous bump which would ground the exhaust with the Hoosiers
A lot of faffing around saw me order a new Red Top battery from Demon Tweeks - to be delivered to our hotel in UK today and wheels all changed- after we managed to jump Butch off a Jeep- wow Butch takes some amperage to turn over. Luckily Steve came to help us.
Anyway we are now en route for your fair Island with Butch's tidied up trailer being towed by my girlfriend's new toy a Nissan Pathfinder- which has got to be one of the best vehicles for lugging stuff. We came down from Inverness on Tuesday absolutely full I mean REALLY FULL and managed 33 mpg at average 63 mph.

Anyway hope to see a few of you there- it is quite a show- with a lot going on with an american theme all weekend.

Well the sun shone and we did have a lovely weekend out

I set out below some YouTube of Butch in action!

Lots of americana but sadly no Camaros that I could see! Plenty of Pontiacs and Flatheads and Caddys and HotRods

Really chilled out but we were the only serious American car competing (other than Flatheads) and I don't think we will do it again- now if there were some Mustnags to beat- then that would be a different story
Still it was a very relaxing weekend - but Butch never got out of second gear- quite useless for such a tight tiny course!!

Throttle Lift off is one of Butch's Fortes

comes from having no flywheel to speak of as well as a Dr Gas X pipe exhaust system -
