Year Casting CID Low Pwr High Pwr Mains Caps
1969-79 3970010 350 185 370 2 or 4 car, truck, Vette

The head casting number are from a 169-79 350, but don't have info on valve size etc.

Cheers,
Mark

Must type faster, must type faster......

As Mark says,

The engine casting number shows it's either a 1968 327 cu in, or 350 cu in motor manufactured between 1969 & '79. If it's a 350 it's possible for it to have 2 or 4 bolt mains. The engine would either have 185hp standard, or 370 hp if it was from a 'Vette. That motor was fitted to cars, trucks & Corvettes. The likelyhood is that it's not a 'Vette motor though, as the heads are standard 350 cu in heads as fitted to all cars & trucks between 1969 & 1979.The engine is most likely to be the low performance 350 cu in car or truck motor. Though in saying that, it may well have been rebuilt to give more power or, you could build it to produce more. hth

cheers....Nige
