No it's not reference to a Duran Duran song. Is there ANY Camaro owners in the Birmingham and Solihull area?? Also has any thought been given to expanding membership to Firebird owners??? |

Your crowd seems pretty thin...I think you should open it up to the Pontiac crowd, since they are essentially the same platform with a slight differentiation in sheet metal. One of my favorite cars was a 70 Rally Sport. It was one of about 30 that were prepped to promote the IROC series. This car had a 455 HO, 4-wheel disks and a Muncie M-22 with a 3:08 final drive. Looked sort of like a T/A without the shaker hood or fender vents. Had everything else though. This one was (fittingly) British Racing Green with a white rally stripe from nose to tail on the left side. Bad-Ass car. Had to sell it when I divorced my first wife in 1989. Kicked myself in the ass ever since. Rare car, probably worth six figures now. This is fairly common knowledge over here, but do you folks know what "Pontiac" means? |

Most places I go to shows, Ace cafe etc.. , there are loads of Camaros. Somehow they don't seem to find this site, maybe they're older guys that are less IT or social media/forum active... or maybe they do, and just don't comment much. Is it worth getting some 'Classic Camaro Club' cards made and popping them on windscreens, to up the interest ? Agree, Trans Am/Firebird owners could be welcomed.. (but they would have to pay of course.. ) |

From when I had my last yank (which was only two years ago) it seems there is a bit of apathy set in to the car scene. I'm all for making the Camaro Club as good as the Mopar one. That's why I've posted re members in Birmingham area. I want to get some meets going and a bit of comradery !! |

I'm with you on getting members together, we are however a small ownership circle spread across the UK. Might be right about the age group of the owners. If I look at US fora, they seem to be a lot younger. Here I suspect the ownership is a bit older. What say we try and survey that? |

If we had a events organiser, we are talking costs etc. But, we can try to motivate ourselves to meet up at another show like Americana in Notts. I mean the Caddy club were set up at the AACUK's show signing up new members. |
