Work asked me to go out and play with the new GoPro camera, so what else can you do but stick on the car and go for a spin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiZLG5abBM0 I'm pretty impressed with it - obviously I didn't get above 30mph, but I'd imagine that mounted internally for those RWYB days it'd be perfect. |

I do like the GoPro. Manily it's size and quality is very good. Downsides are the inability to remote start/stop, and sound is a bit on or off.. I've got an old 2GB non HD one, and have loads of 1 hour bits from runs over the last couple of years, but I've never worked out how to edit video (bit of a ludite with iMovie etc.. ) so can't put them up on youtube as they're too big. Here's a short one while stuck on the drivers door facing backwards.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSo64oI8Mbs |

Yeah the sound does let it down - hence why there's some funk track on mine instead a lovely bubbly V8.I can live without a remote start stop, the version I was using has a 32GB card in it that'll hold hours at a time which was handy. |

That was excellent, who was the sound track by?? How did you hold it to the car bodywork without it rattling about & falling off??http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiZLG5abBM0 I'm pretty impressed with it - obviously I didn't get above 30mph, but I'd imagine that mounted internally for those RWYB days it'd be perfect. cheers...Nige |

Cheers Nige!cheers...Nige The soundtrack is one of the standard YouTube ones, I can't remember who it's by. I'll have a dig about and see if I can find it. The camera sits in a waterproof housing, and that's attached to a plastic arm with a few joints in it, with a gert big sucker cup at the bottom that locks down tight. Really tight. |
