It's an interesting concept, but really it doesn't push any boundaries at all, it's just simple remove something & fit with new, what I tend to call Tab A into Tab B construction. With a lot of helpers it's easily do able. Now if they were to be fitting repro panels they'd never get it done.cheers...Nige |

What panels have you had so far for it?? normally it's the front end sheet metal that's wrong. As far as I'm aware all panels are manufactured at one source, but sold as different "brands" by various companies.Must admit, the panels I've been getting from Classic Industries fit really well cheers.....Nige |

Thankfully, my front panels are ok The rear panel has been replaced, and the lower quarter panels have been done too. Had a choice of rear panels: $80 - Old tooling $109 - New Tooling (better finish) $450 - Extremely expensive I went for the $109 panel, and it's fits perfect |

Looks like you got away with that then . The front wings generally need metal adding to the edges to make the gaps right to the doors & lets not even get into the inner front splashguards & front radiator support cheers...Nige |

Yep!, front wings, rad support, and splashguards are all ok, well, one of the splashguards needed repair, but otherwise it's good |

Looks very exciting! If it goes anything like my 48 hour weekends on the car, they'll have done 2 of the 587 things they went out to accomplish and change the name of it to 48 day camaro It's in the diary so will be watching this, thanks for sharing! I saw a project where they took a 5th gen and put a 1st gen body on it.. this was a GTO actually.. they took a new Holden and modified the '69 style GTO to fit on it. they got a best of both worlds from it. Would be interesting to see if anymore like this exist. |
