How much money would it take for you to feel financially comfortable?. We're not talking lottery numbers here. What would you do with the money to make you happier in life?

Interesting question!
I guess for me, living comfortably would be that ability to own a good sized house to raise a family in, with a 2 car garage, funds for a rainy day, able to go on good holidays and have treats - nice clothes, good food - not having to live off the basics and knowing you could do that year after and not have to count the pennies all the time. And own a muscle car of course.

As above really, nice to be able to relax with no money worries. Would put money aside for my daughter so when shes older life would hopefully be easier for her altho hopefully she would see sense and leave this country, as theres no future whatsoever left over here!

Rant over

May have a 4 car garage tho!!!

Cheers.....Tim

Tim, only a 4 car garage?? ;) I'm fortunate in that I don't have a mortgage, but by the same token I currently don't earn a vast fortune either, so everythings relative I guess. If I came into a reasonable amount of money, I'd continue pretty much the same as I do now but would like to finish doing the house & maybe start another project. Simple life really I s'pose. ;)

Ah well said.

Well i'd like to stay in the suburbs, so a 5 bedroom (1 spare) all doubles. upstiars + downsairs bathroom. Nice kitchen with a centre table thing that u cook on. garden would be off the top of my head 40x60 ft. double garage big enough to park 2 big cars and work on 1 without bumping into walls etc. no matter what the ladies say, size does matter :)

What? you cook on a table?? we use a cooker   Dunno about size matters though, as the bigger they are the harder they are to maintain. We've found that with this place. The family that owned the house before us had a full time gardener, but the wife likes gardening so she wants to do it, fair enough I thought. It's not until you start doing it though you realise how much time it all takes. Then there's the cleaning of the house & keeping it tidy. Luckily. Our old cottage was low maintenance, but I dread to think what this ones gonna cost to get right & keep it looking good. I've got to decorate 15 rooms, absolute nightmare & it's eating into my car playing time, that's not good. So Ray, sometimes small is good
