Hi Guys,

Thanks for the birthday congrats (whoever is responible). It´s been a long time since my car was older than me  . I like my modern comforts now  Having lived through the sixties it is still my favorite period for cars, if only I new then what I know now :( .
Have enclosed a few pictures of cars I had when I was a bit younger and I wish I had more of others which I have owned.

I would love to have another 65 to 75 era car again but it is not really practical for me and really too expensive so I will just continue to enjoy my Camaro and have fun looking at other cars at all the shows.

Cheers Gerry

Nice pics Gerry, bet you wish you still had those cars. Did the rod belong to you also?? Why do you feel that it's not practical to use an older car? You only live once you know

cheers...Nige

Thanks Nige, No the rod wasn´t mine, my son had a thing for then at the time.

When I say not practical I mean for me. I usa my Camaro at every oportunity through the summer which is usually five or six times a week, down to the shops for the paper, to the golf course, shopping (heaven forbid) everyday if I can. But, If I had a 60´s or 70´s car they are so much bigger, it´s bad enough parking the Camaro with it´s big doors, let alone something a foot or so longer and even wider. Plus they are not the best cars to drive as a daily runner and the fuel consumption I won´t go into. Also if I had a car costing 25K plus I wold be frightened to leave it alone let alone leave it in a car park. I´ve done all that and enjoyed it then as I now enjoy my Camaro. It´s faster than any of the older yanks Ive had, more comfortable to drive and of course alot chearper to run. It´s a winner all round for me. I still love all the older cars and if money wasn´t an issue it would be hard for me which I would choose, but unless the lottery comes up I don´t have that problem.

How many of you guys have cars Older than you? would be fun to find out.

Cheers Gerry

Unfortunately I'm a bit older than my car & I probably need to have my body restored now as well.

You say you take your car to the golf course, that's one thing I've never figured out. Why is it fun to chase a little white ball around a bit of grass? It's bad enough trying to putt the ball in crazy golf, I'd be totally bolloxed on a full size course, it's take me all day to finish a game :lolno:

cheers....Nige
