Well my build is another year further down the road and still not finished, I really hoped to be joining you all this year.

I'll be sure to swing by the stand, last year when I dropped by everyone must have been off getting ice-cream... or more beer!

Looking forward to checking out a few Camaros.

Car Details:1969 SS, originally a 396, now a 350. Never having raced an American V8 before, I am not the world's expert on Camaros ! But I read Road & Track and HotRod Magazine from the early Sixties (yes, it's the only thing I can rememberabout the 60s) and always wanted one.

Also race a 1965 Alfa GTA, and drive a 1938 Lancia Aprilia and a 1922 Talbot 8.
See you fellas tomorrow morning in the queue ... I'm routing through the north section of M25 clockwise at some ungodly hour...
Nick

Lovely to meet everyone yesterday.... :chevy:

Great to see some familiar faces and put new faces to names etc.... and amazing weather yet again...
I didn't personally take any pics , so if anyone fancies adding some links here, or even starting a new thread that would be cool...

Highlights for me were Nicks 1st gen race car, Blackstars's massive wheeled black 2nd gen was something special with all it's bling touches and mental 502 engine.. the Nascar crash was pretty epic, only just seen the vids from others on youtube, as me and Ray saw it from the grandstand obscured by trees. Bernie's races were great with some proper close calls from some driver buddies.

Roll on next year...

(on a downside, I heard a KITT replica car was stolen yesterday while at Brands Hatch... not good  )

Sorry I slid off without saying goodbye yesterday, but I figured it would be a while before y'all got back to the cars.
I left after the NASCAR race had finished behind the safety car, and they were just about to start Bernie's V8s.
Think it was around 4:40.
Thought I would try and miss some of the traffic, plus I was beginning to feel the effect of the early start.
Blackstar left a while before me.
The traffic was heavy when I left, and the tailback at the Blackwall was massive.
Did the rest of you stay for the parade lap, if so, what time was it?
It was scheduled for 6:00, but thanks to the NASCAR boys continually crashing, the schedule had slipped a bit.
Anyway it was a good day, was great to be able to put faces to 'handles'.

An enjoyable day, thanks for the welcome and good to meet Forum faces. Like bnc47 there was no-one around when I left c. 3pm after the first Bernie V8 race, so sorry I did not say goodbye to you all. I think I counted about 4 other 1st Gen Camaros on other stands including a loner in the middle of the big Mustang display. The Kentagon Gt British Greasy Breakfast at 0830 lived up to expectation and kept me going for the day.
I was lucky with my jorney back to West London, no jams on the M25 and no overheating !
All the best, Nick
