Car Details:1969 SS, originally a 396, now a 350. Never having raced an American V8 before, I am not the world's expert on Camaros ! But I read Road & Track and HotRod Magazine from the early Sixties (yes, it's the only thing I can rememberabout the 60s) and always wanted one.

Also race a 1965 Alfa GTA, and drive a 1938 Lancia Aprilia and a 1922 Talbot 8.
Weather forecast for Sunday : sunny most of the day, little wind, 17C. Looking good for Chevys.

Does anyone know roughly where the Classic Camaro Club pitch is ? Up behind the stands perhaps ?
Yrs
Nick

Sun is good !!!!!
It can get quite windy there anyway as it's so open, but I remember we all got sun roasted last year.

It's in the white area apparently, wherever that is, tried to check but Google doesn't know.. It was behind the grandstands around the start of the main straight last year, but may be different this time.

Was talking to Phil about it the other day and we believe the white area is behind where we were last year and a bit closer to the entrance (when you drive through the entrance gates, will be on the left, up on the grass). Stu, do you remember the green Camaro with the big tyres when we went for a walk around? That should be the white area.

Gives us somewhere to sit as last year we were in a concrete section and behind us was quite an inclined verge.

Thanks Stu, i just read that thread. It's a shame he can't make it, would have been good to have as many of us in the same place as possible. I sent Twisted a PM asking if it was possible to post, as Watford is about 45 minutes North from me and an hour from Cobham, would need to be leaving his before 6:30, so an early start for both of us plus the extra hour for driving in the morning.
I also emailed MSV last night begging for a ticket, so fingers crossed that one way will happen.

For meeting, is everyone ok with leaving Cobham services at 7:30? That should get us there for about 8:10 and hopefully mean less queuing than last year. There's a McD's and Costa / Starbucks there, so a good chance to grab a quick wake up. Plan on getting there with Phil for 7:20 if a ticket comes through, quick pit stop then head on down

Really hate early starts but they don't let people park on the stands after 9am, so you end up in the regular folk car park, hence the early morning cursing that ensues.
